For a few years now MG Road is nothing short of a shopper's paradise. Initially it was the hub of the factory outlets of the mega brands, which explored the length and breadth of MG Road to people in search of better deals. Then high-end furniture stores, such as the World Market, were packed with interesting enough deals with a full range of themed household items that made the move into center stage. In the third phase, it is one lakh bricks-a-bracks on the roadside.Scattered, small yet breathtaking stalls on MG Road range from photo frames to mirrors, storage cabinets, chairs, tables and many curious things. Browsing through these stalls is almost like a treasure hunt and with each new item on which the eye is closed and the hand moves to investigate; The whole experience is nothing short of opening the treasure-treasure. In addition to connectivity, the metro has made it easier to search for stalls thanks to the number of pillars.
Where the shops on both sides are almost equal, head towards Delhi as the stall is located on the left side of MG Road. One of the hidden gems just before the Ayya Nagar crossing (Arjungarh Metro station). Look for a stall that has second-hand books on sale, but not books that enter this stall. As you step inside the small joint, there are some of the best lamps at the throwaway price. But if you want to take a lot then go straight for Pilar number PP9 and there will be a bunch of stalls that will not disappoint you. Parking on MG Road can be a nightmare and traffic is a killer but once you see some items these roadside stalls have to offer… everything is fine.
